Yes. Comparing recent studies with past studies on that same levee location is one of the best uses of the studies. This enables the location of interior levee section that have changed (density – cavities, moisture intrusion ect). Levees very seldom fail over their entire length. They usually fail in a specific location that possible be detected and prevented by utilizing the subsurface conductivity studies.
