Our Experience Can be Measured in Miles

During the 1980's and 1990's CSI conducted subsurface conductivity studies on levee systems and the following Reclamation Districts as well as the Brannan-Andrus Levee Maintenance District:

Since July 2004, CSI has conducted or is currently conducting studies on Reclamation Districts 2027, 2072, 684, 2044, 1601, 800, 548, 563, 544, 1, 2, 348, 2029, 2030, 2074, 17, 2119, 2126 utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. Additional studies are scheduled well into 2007.

Sacramento—San Joaquin Delta Levees Construction

Many levees in the Sacramento—San Joaquin Delta were originally built a hundred or more years ago.  These construction techniques utilized very little engineering knowledge or forethought.  Material that was existing in the immediate area was the material utilized for the construction in that location.  Different locations had soils with different properties.  The individuals who were reclaiming the various portions of the delta had different training, knowledge and abilities.  No two lengths of levee have identical construction.
