csi, llc - SERVICES OVERVIEW
CSI's primary service provides local reclamation districts with conductivity studies for levees in the Sacramento – San Joaquin Delta. The studies are then utilized by the reclamation district engineers to determine possible areas of concern to levee integrity.
CSI also can locate buried and unmarked metal containers such as fuel tanks, metal barrels (possibly containing various chemicals) and create maps of underground plumes from certain types of chemicals. In addition, CSI offers an emergency response service should a rapid assessment be required.
CSI can detect irregularities in levee sub-surfaces, which can help prevent catastrophic disasters. A typical disaster can cost up to $50 million per levee system. The Upper and Lower Jones Tracts failure cost nearly $100 million in repair and restoration alone, not including crops and property lost.

New Technology Gives CSI the Edge
Keeping up with current technology is essential to the success of CSI. That’s why in 2004, we updated our instrumentation to Geonics EM-31(top-of-the-line in the industry) enhanced with a Trimble Ag 132 GPS unit with sub meter accuracy (within a foot and a half).
But that’s not all. Because of CS I 's unique levee studies, Geomar, the company that developed the EM-31 software, developed a customized program with continual updates that offers data in a straightforward and accurate manner.
Digital Reports Offer Better Data
Incorporating new technology with records from the 1980s and 1990s means CSI can offer conductivity reports that include comparative data. For our clients, that means more information to draw from when making important decisions.
